Culver's!!!!

One of the things we knew we wanted to do for sure, was visit Culver's a couple of times while visiting the greater Phoenix area...

We actually didn't take that many pictures there. We were too into eating and enjoying. But I did get a chance to take a couple shots of our first visit, which was Friday for lunch.

We had Ethan with us because everyone else was at either work or school. We brought GFCF bread so the boys could have that as their bun for their burger. The flavor of the day that day was butter pecan... and it was gooooooooood!

Anna and I each had a single scoop (from the kid's meal tokens), and I bought a large mint Oreo "concrete". The mint Oreo was not nearly as good as the butter pecan frozen custard though.

Later that night, Anna and Dawn were in that area and stopped and got a couple of double scoops of the butter pecan. She called to rub it in. Wasn't that nice of her?

Saturday, we went again for lunch, this time with Kevin and Dawn's family. I tried their Philly cheese steak sandwich, which tasted pretty good, but was quite small for the price. Everyone else had burgers. The kids had apple sauce with theirs. The flavor of the day was chocolate raspberry. It was pretty much just chocolate frozen custard with a raspberry sauce. Not my favorite, but still good. Anna got a double scoop with vanilla and chocolate, plain; and I got a double scoop of vanilla with mini Reese's pieces and Reese's peanut butter cup toppings... soooooo good! We brought Popsicles for the kids.

Then Sunday, we would be heading home, and passing right by the Culver's on the way out... so we HAD to stop one last time! I got a burger (it was the best one all weekend), and the same double scoop as Saturday. Anna ate lunch at K & D's, so she only got frozen custard: a triple scoop with two flavor of the day (chocolate carmel twist) and one vanilla, plain. The flavor of the day was really good.

As we finished up our last bit of Culver's, Anna said "It's a good thing we don't have one of these by us.", and I had to agree. Though our taste buds would be in heaven, our waist lines would be going to h*ll.

There's a few of them in AZ.
