from left to right: Me, Scotty, and ClaronToday's flashback goes back about 10 years, give or take a year. That is Claron (Anna's brother), our friend Scotty, and myself, in Claron's 1936(?) Ford Roadster, in the parking lot of the Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake (west Burbank area). Anna and Sara(Anna's sister), both worked there as "car hops". You parked in a certain area of the parking lot, and they would come out and take your order at your car, and bring your food out to the car, so you could eat it there in your car. No, they didn't where roller skates, though there were times when they claimed they wanted to.
Anna and Sara usually worked the weekends at Bob's, and Claron, Scotty and I would go there after band practice. Yep, I said band practice. We were The Basement Brothers. But that's a different story. Anyway, we would go there after practice and visit Anna and Sara, and they could usually score us a big discount or free food.
This particular night, for some reason, we put on some "different" road gear for our visit, and someone had a camera, and "click" here it is. Good times. Good memories.

Yup, those were the days! Good ol' Scotty! Let's just hope that no Bob's lawyers are reading your blog. I plead the 5th.
