Heart Attack Grill

During the trip to Arizona, I wanted to stop by a burger place I had seen on TV; It's called the Heart Attack Grill.

Here's a clip from "Extreme Pigouts"

Now that's you've seen what it's all about, here's my trip...

Kevin and I went for dinner Friday night. It was a brother's dinner only night. Here's my order: Double Bypass, fries, and a full sugar Coke (that's how it's described on the menu).

Kevin only got a single bypass, or as the nurse called it "the sissy burger", with his fries and a Coke.

As you can see, one of the other things they do, is invite you to wear a hospital gown while you enjoy your food. It was a fun atmosphere, the food was actually really good, and I didn't even bother to wipe the greasy, lardy, goodness, off my face for a picture. Yes, I ate it all.

While we were there, a very large man came in and weighed in. He was over 350 pounds, all the nurses cheered, and he got his burger for free! There were a lot of women there at the restaurant while we were there. Some wives, some grandmas, and some teenagers. There were probably 40 people in there during our visit.

All in all, it was a good experience. I brought a single bypass home to Anna so she could try it, and she liked it a lot. Next time, I'll plan to be hungrier, and I'll try and eat a triple bypass.

Go Small

Looks like the new "Super-size" is "mini" in the fast food burger wars.

Right now there are two companies that have new mini hamburgers: Burger King and Jack in the Box.

I haven't tried either of their new mini burgers, so this is not a comparison of their taste, actual size, or value... this is about their commercials.

Here is the Burger King commercial...

And here is the Jack in the Box commercial...

The JitB commercial is funny (I guess), but the first 10 seconds of the BK commercial makes me laugh every time. The reaction from those two guys is hilarious. The rest of the commercial, the guy might as well be holding a little puppy; it's not as good as the first ten.

Anyway, based on the commercials, I would choose the BK burger shots over the mini sirloin burgers. The next step should probably be buying and eating them, for a more accurate assessment. Anyone up for some mini burgers? Bring some on over and we'll give them a taste.

It's How Guys Do Fancy- Update

Carl's Jr. has a new burger. It's called the Charbroiled Steak Sandwich. And with each new burger, there's a new commercial. The commercial for this burger is pretty funny...

...at least I like it. (Great casting!)

There's a coupon for $1 off a new Charbroiled Steak Sandwich HERE. I can't wait to try one.

**Update**
A few days ago, Anna and I split one of these Charbroiled Steak Sandwiches, and I have to say, I was greatly disappointed! Anna didn't care for it either. It had very little flavor. The Ribeye six dollar burger was 100 times better than this is. (But they don't have that anymore.) ::sad face::

Whoppers are way better too. (We had those last night. Happy Anniversary to us!)

Mmm, that sounds good. I'll have that.

Carl's Jr. has introduced a "new" burger. It's the Guacamole Bacon Burger.

Don't even think to confuse it with the Guacamole Bacon Cheese Burger! That one has american cheese. The NEW Guacamole Bacon Burger has pepperjack cheese, so it's totally different!

Here's the link to print that $1.00 off coupon. (psst, click the sentence.)

You're Welcome.

Can't wait to try one...

Carl's Jr. has done it again! They've created a burger that I MUST eat! It's called a "Prime Rib Burger". It's their $6 burger pattie topped with thin sliced prime rib, grilled onions, and swiss cheese, served on a chiabatta bread bun.

Their new campaign for this burger involves a fake restaurant where regular people are brought in (set up), and they catch their reactions to eatting these burgers that they believe are worth $16!

You can see it all at fakerestaurant.com Shelby and Chris were my favorite.

I don't know when I'll get a chance to try one, but I hope it's soon! Here's where you can get a coupon for $1 off.

That's hot...

I think you know that I enjoy a great burger. Even though it might just be the perfect food, there are other things to eat inside a bun. (And out of a bun, but that's a different post.)

I'm talking about chicken sandwiches! A good one is just as fulfilling as a good burger. Probably one of my all time favorite fastfood chicken sandwiches is the Charbroiled Chicken Club at Carl's Jr. One of the worst is the 99 cent McChicken sandwich at McDonalds.

Anyway, here's a coupon to get a free medium Coke (though I would guess you could get any of the sodas they offer) with the purchase of a Jalapeno Chicken Sandwich. Maybe not THAT great of a coupon (I prefer the buy one get one free variety), but if you look at the coupon closely, it says "you'll need it". I thought that was pretty funny, so I thought I'd share this with you anyway.

If you can't print that from the blog, you can get it here: http://www.carlsjr.com/coupon/jalapeno_chicken_jpg

If you go and get one and eat it, share with the rest of us what you thought in the comments section.

You're welcome!

Enjoy!
