The jack-o-lanterns are already very wilted. It's only been 2 1/2 days since we made them. It's got to be due to the very high temperatures during the day. Both Tuesday and Wednesday were in the 90s, and that afternoon sun hits our front porch big time. Today was in the high 80s.
I thought I read somewhere, to keep your pumpkins fresher longer, to soak them in water. I'm assuming that doesn't mean submerged. So we put the pumpkins in pie tins full of water yesterday. It doen't seem to be working.
Here's what they look like today...
Happy All Hallow's Eve Eve.
